Hulah Hoop Rosé 2022

After being awarded 93 points in the 2023 Halliday Wine Companion for our 2021 Hulah Hoop Rosé (Tempranillo), this 2022 Hulah Hoop Rosé a wine that is deep in colour offering richness on the palate and on the nose.

A relatively mild and late-ripening season with few heat spikes and a mercifully dry autumn. As in 2021, the slow ripening conditions ensured beautiful acid retention and the development of typical varietal aromas and flavours.

Our Rosé is made from Tempranillo grapes and the craftmanship by our winemaker, Peter Leske.

This vintage it can be noticed the richness in colour with this Rosé, however the winemaking industry is seeing a shift away from the once desired ‘pale salmon hue’ to a deeper and rich salmon colour, which ultimately reveals a wine which has more to offer on the nose, the palate, and the appearance. In the words of our winemaker, ‘the closer to the skin of the grape, is where you’ll find more flavour, smell and colour, which is what you really want when drinking wine.

A rich salmon pink in colour, the wine is powerfully aromatic with a blend of fresh red apples, watermelon and hints of Turkish delight.

Generously flavoured palate but dry; fresh and lively, with crisp cool-climate acidity.
